Cheetahs are known for their astonishing speed and agility. They have lightweight frames and long legs that help them accelerate and catch prey during their daytime hunts. Other predators often steal cheetahs' prey because they are too slight for fighting; plus lions, hyenas and wild dogs are alerted by cheetah chases in open areas.
