Cheetah: Fast and Hungry

Cheetahs are known for their astonishing speed and agility. They have lightweight frames and long legs that help them accelerate and catch prey during their daytime hunts. Other predators often steal cheetahs' prey because they are too slight for fighting; plus lions, hyenas and wild dogs are attracted by cheetah chases in open spaces.

Cheetahs eat fast - as soon as they make a kill.

Chichén Itzá is an ancient Mayan city that is home to some of the most impressive ruins in the Americas, including the Kukulkan Pyramid, the Temple of the Warriors, and the Great Ball Court. I worked here here in 2005 and 2007 collecting photographic spherical panoramas to help plan an animated film about Maya astronomy.
