Penguins
Penguins are flightless birds that are native to the Southern Hemisphere. They are found in a variety of habitats, including Antarctica, South America, Africa, Australia, and New Zealand. They are adapted to life in cold climates. They have thick layers of blubber and feathers that help them to stay warm. They also have webbed feet that help them to swim.
Penguins live in colonies of up to millions of birds. They breed in large groups and raise their young together. They are an important part of the marine ecosystem. They eat fish, squid, and krill. They are also a food source for seals, sea lions, and whales. Climate change, overfishing, and pollution are all putting penguins at risk.
