Having won a trip for two that had to be taken in 2019, Sylvia and I decided to go to Tanzania for our fortieth wedding anniversary. We loved our experience in Southern Africa and wanted to see the "endless plain" that is the Serengeti. OAT's Safari Serengeti: Tanzania Lodge & Tented Safari provided the perfect venue to celebrate.
We finally made it Iceland after years of procrastinating about going. It turned out to be fascinating in many ways. It's a land of volcanoes and glaciers, puffins and whales.

May took us on the California Zephyr train to Chicago after a stopover in Madison, Wisconsin. Our first visit together to the Windy City was packed with long walks, bus rides, and museum visits. We thoroughly enjoyed the dining and the evening walks along the Chicago River.
We visited Cuba in April 2015 to see the effects of communist rule before sweeping changes occur after improved economic relations with the US. I've written a short essay about our experiences and have posted photographs which expose both good and bad views of our island neighbor.
Theo graduates! We head to Montclair, New Jersey, to celebrate Theo's accomplishment and to visit with family. Naturally we have to take some time to visit New York, the Statue of Liberty, Neue Gallery and the High Line.
Our first trip with Overseas Adventure Travel. We were delighted by the way the tour was conducted; we felt that we weren't merely consuming the country as tourists, but participating in a small improvement to their lives and building an image of Americans not found in media.
A family adventure aboard the Catchalote with our own Ecuadorian Guide. We had access to any part of the islands we might want to visit.
